Maharashtra polls: Parties work overtime to get rebels to withdraw nominations

Leaders of all major parties in Maharashtra engaged in extensive efforts to persuade rebels to retract their nominations before the November 4 deadline in order to prevent vote splits in the upcoming November 20 assembly polls. The ruling alliance and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi all held numerous discussions and meetings to address the issue.
