Volcanic eruption burns houses in Indonesia, killing at least 9 people

At least nine people have died due to volcanic eruptions on Indonesia's remote Flores island. The danger level for Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki has been raised to the highest and the exclusion zone widened to 7 kilometers. Eruptions have been spewing thick brownish ash up to 2,000 meters since Thursday, causing destruction including a convent of Catholic nuns.
