Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 First Look Review - Worth The Wait?

Image

The most expensive 350 Royal Enfield has been launched in India with a price of INR 2,35,000 and INR 2,38,000 for single and dual tone versions. As the name suggests it's a retro themed motorcycle that is inspired by the Goan motorcycling culture but is it just a marketing gimmick or do the changes go deep? It is a bobber style motorcycle which looks retro as you can see.The look is more custom chopper with the chopped fenders, mid-ape handlebars (which will take getting used to, we reckon) and the low-slung seat and the rear styling. The bike comes standard with a single seat configuration while a pillion seat is optional. Of course, the 19-inch front and 16-inch rear aluminium spoke wheels and whitewall tubeless tyres look cool as well. Other details include telescopic front suspension with 41mm forks and twin rear shock absorbers, Tripper navigation pod, a USB Type-C charging port, LED lighting and more. The heart of the Goan Classic 350 remains the same which means it is more of a cosmetic styling exercise with the 349cc air-oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine developing 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It also has a 13 litre fuel tank while it is a bit heavier over the standard Classic 350.While the suspension has been tweaked, it largely remains a styling exercise and there are in fact four colours- Purple Haze, Rave Red, Shack Black, and Trip Teal. We feel this is a style led motorcycle and for those who want something different with a Bobber like look which is what the Goan Classic 350 is all about. Its siblings are more practical while this is more of a weekend fun motorcycle. Also Read : Mahindra BE 6e, Hyundai Creta EV And Maruti E Vitara To Woo Indian EV Buyers
