Zee Entertainment shareholders reject proposal to reappoint Punit Goenka as director

Shareholders of Zee Entertainment rejected the reappointment of Punit Goenka as director with 50.4% votes against. Goenka, currently CEO, resigned as managing director earlier in the month but stayed on as CEO. Other resolutions on financial statements, dividends, and auditor remuneration were approved. The board had initially approved Goenka's reappointment for a five-year term starting in 2025.
