IT Ministry likely to seek Cabinet’s nod for Rs 40,000 crore package to boost electronic components' manufacturing

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will seek Union Cabinet’s approval for a ₹40,000 crore package to boost local manufacturing of electronic components in December. The package aims to offer subsidies and incentives, boosting local production to increase the value chain participation, with investments starting from April 2025.
