According to designer Manish Malhotra’s description, the lehenga is a work of “rai bandhej on a banarasi brocade in rani pink. 35 Mtrs of bandhej used to make the Ghagra.” The heavily embroidered blouse piece is inspired by vintage koti designs. Accentuating the detailing, she draped a statement dupatta with a story of what looks like a ‘baraat entry’ weaved all over it.
