Astronomers have detected what may be a ‘future Earth’ eight billion years from now

Astronomers discovered KMT-2020-BLG-0414, a faraway planet orbiting a white dwarf, which offers a glimpse into Earth's potential future in 8 billion years. Our sun will eventually become a red giant, potentially devouring Earth. If Earth survives, it may resemble this faraway rocky planet orbiting a dead star.
