To make India self-reliant, Cabinet approves Rs 10,000-crore 'Oilseeds Mission'

India aims to achieve self-reliance in oilseed production within seven years through the 'National Mission on Edible Oils-Oilseeds' with a budget of Rs 10,103 crore. The plan focuses on boosting productivity with innovation, expanding cultivation areas, and adopting high-yield seed varieties. This strategy intends to reduce dependence on imports and support farmers.
