Manipur CM: 700 permanent houses built for displaced, 7,000 temporary homes approved by Centre

Manipur CM N Biren Singh announced the completion of 700 permanent houses for displaced persons and approval for 7000 temporary homes by the Centre. Over 230 people have died in ethnic strife between Meiteis and Kuki-Zo communities since May. The state has established 302 relief camps for 59,414 displaced persons. Curfew is imposed in Churachandpur district.
