With his 77-run knock, Yashasvi Jaiswal now has scored 1025 runs in 2024 at home in India. This is now the third time that an Indian batter has managed to slam 1000 Test runs home in a single calendar year. The only two other Indians to achieve this frat was Sunil Gavaskar and Gundappa Vishwanath, both o​​​​​​​f whom scored 1047 and 1013 runs respectively in 1979.
