Diwali, one of India’s major festivals, falls on October 31, 2024, with banks closing in many states. While Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh observe the holiday on this day, some states will also recognise November 1 for Govardhan Puja and November 2 for Bhai Dooj celebrations.
