EXPLAINED: How MS Dhoni Was Retained For Only Rs 4 Crore By Chennai Super Kings

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) brought back the old rule where in a player who has not played international cricket for five or more years can be classified as an uncapped player. MS Dhoni last played for India back in the semi-final of the ODI World Cup 2019, which is more than five years ago. Hence Dhoni has been classified as an uncapped player.
