Maharashtra polls: Nominations of 7,994 candidates across 288 assembly seats found valid

A total of 7,994 candidates' nomination papers were validated for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections on November 20, following scrutiny. However, 921 nomination papers were rejected. Major alliances competing are the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi. The filing of nominations concluded on October 29, with candidates able to withdraw by November 4.
