Trump 1.0 Alumni Pompeo & Haley Not To Be In New Cabinet. Prez-Elect Thanks Them For Their Service

The US President-elect has ruled out several leaders from his administration that are currently in the process of being formed. According to a PTI report, he explicitly stated that former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former envoy to the United Nations Nikki Haley who were members of his previous Cabinet are not going to be part of the upcoming administration."I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.On November 5, Trump was elected the 47th president of the United States after he defeated Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. In the first term, Trump served as the 45th president from January 20, 2017, to January 20, 2021.During his 2017-2021 term, Pompeo served as the CIA Director and Secretary of State, while Haley served as his ambassador to the United Nations during the first two years of his presidency. Before the final race with Harris, both Pompeo and Haley entered the presidential race against him in the Republican primaries.While Pompeo dropped from the race early, Haley was the last challenger against Trump till February this year. Later on, the two endorsed his campaign. Haley announced her support for Trump during the Republican National Convention in Wisconsin in July.However, in his post, Trump thanked his two former Cabinet officials for their service."I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump said. Over the next few weeks, Trump is going to announce members of his cabinet, within two days of his winning, he announced that one of his campaign managers, Susie Wiles will be his White House chief of staff.On Saturday, Trump announced that his inaugural committee will be chaired by Florida real estate investor Steven Witkoff and former Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler, who he called “longtime friends and supporters,” according to the Associated Press (AP) report.Witkoff is Trump’s golf partner and was with him when the former president was the target of a second attempted assassination at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida in September.
