Addressing reporters on her potential to exceed Rahul Gandhi’s previous victory margin, Priyanka remarked, “that is yet to be seen.”Priyanka’s presence in Wayanad marks a significant moment for the Congress, as she aims to connect with the constituency Rahul Gandhi previously represented and expand on his legacy in Parliament. In a post on X, Priyanka called for everyone to vote and said that 'let's build a better future together'.Voting commenced at 1,354 polling stations in the hilly Wayanad constituency, where over 14 lakh voters are registered. Early reports from the Election Commission indicated a turnout of 6.96 percent in Wayanad within the first hour. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) has fielded Sathyan Mokeri, while the BJP’s candidate is Navya Haridas. Speaking at a polling center, BJP candidate Navya Haridas criticised Congress, alleging vote influence tactics involving "kits, money, and liquor."
