Maharashtra Deputy Speaker Narahari Sitaram Zirwal Wins Dindori Seat With A Margin Of 44,403 Votes
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Deputy Speaker Narahari Sitaram Zirwal has won the Dindori seat in Maharashtra with a margin of 44,403 votes.Zirwal, who got 1,38,622 defeated his nearest rival Charoskar Sunita Ramdas from NCP (SP), who received 94,219 votes.In October this year, Zirwal had made headlines when he had jumped off the third floor of the Maharashtra secretariat and landed on the safety net in protest against reservations being granted to the Dhangar community under the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category.Dindori constituency recorded the highest voter turnout of 78.05 per cent during the polls held on Wednesday (November 20).
