Infosys Distributes 85% Average Performance Bonus For Q2 FY25, Says Report
India’s IT services giant, Infosys, has reportedly announced an 85 per cent average performance bonus payout for its eligible employees for the second quarter of the September 2024-25 fiscal year. The bonus will be distributed to mid- and junior-level employees across its delivery and sales units, representing most of the company’s over 3.15 lakh-strong workforce, according to a The Economic Times report citing multiple sources.In an email to the employees, the IT firm said it would credit the due bonuses along with the November salary. According to the report, each employee’s payout will remain different according to their performance and their contribution in the respective quarter.“In Q2, we delivered a strong performance with broad growth, reinforcing our market leadership. This success is a testament to your unwavering dedication, our strategic focus on margin performance and our industry-leading expertise in Cloud and Generative AI. Your commitment has been instrumental in building our capabilities and delivering exceptional value to our clients. Thank you for your invaluable contributions; we look forward to a future with endless possibilities with you,” the email read, as per the report.In Q2 FY25, ending September, Infosys continued to lead industry growth for the second consecutive quarter, reporting a 4.7 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 6,506 crore. This growth was driven by a 5.1 per cent rise in revenue, which amounted to Rs 40,986 crore, fueled by the ramp-up of large-scale deals and ongoing demand improvement in the financial services sector.Significantly, the company revised its FY25 revenue guidance upward to 3.75-4.5 per cent, an increase from its previous forecast of 3-4 per cent. The average performance bonus announced by Infosys applies to employees at band six (E6) and below, states the report.At Infosys, employees are classified into three bands: E0–E2, which includes freshers and technical leaders; E3–E6, which covers mid-level positions such as project managers and vice presidents; and E7 and above, which comprises senior-level employees.As part of its ongoing practice, Infosys has again refrained from disclosing unit-wise average performance payouts in individual emails to employees, likely to avoid potential internal dissatisfaction.This time, the bonus payout is slightly higher than the 80 per cent average announced for the June quarter, driven by a strong growth performance from July to September.
