In an interview with Indian Express , Ramesh Taurani opened up about the trends of the industry, and why star fee is a bigger problem than entourage cost. The filmmaker explained that filmmaking is ultimately a business. When he is planning a film and signing a star, he considers the star's fee and entourage costs . He proceeds by factoring in all expenses, and if he feels the costs are too high, he negotiates with the star. The decision to proceed with the project depends on whether the negotiated amount is feasible. Taurani emphasized that a project is only viable if the financial aspects are manageable; otherwise, he won't pursue it. He noted that no one makes a film without considering these factors. The filmmaker acknowledged that entourage costs exist, but a bigger issue is the star's fee. He noted that while stars do ask for high fees, many are now mindful of recoveries and the business side of filmmaking. They often agree to profit-sharing and come in on the backend. Turani added that Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan follow this model. For instance, when they made ' Race 3 ' with Salman, everything was on a partnership basis. He emphasized that all big stars today operate this way, and if the entourage cost increases, it will be deducted from their share, making it a better business model. Meanwhile, Taurani has confirmed plans for sequels to ' Bhoot Police ' and ' Soldier ', mentioning that an official announcement regarding these projects will be made soon.
