The 60-year-old star, known for his iconic roles in films like *Love 86*, *Swarg*, *Dulhe Raja*, and *Partner*, underwent surgery after accidentally shooting himself in the leg.

According to his daughter, Tina Ahuja, Govinda is recovering well after the surgery and is expected to return home today. His wife, Sunita Ahuja, shared further details, stating, "He is doing better and will be discharged today, but the doctors have advised six weeks of bed rest. We will limit visitors to avoid the risk of infection."

The accident occurred at Govinda's Mumbai residence on Tuesday when his revolver accidentally went off just before he was leaving for the airport.
