Flu Vaccine May Be Less Effective In The US This Year, New CDC Report Says; Know Why

This year's flu vaccine significantly reduced the risk of hospitalization in the Southern Hemisphere but was not as effective as the vaccine used in the prior season, according to an early study done by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Researchers found the seasonal flu vaccine reduced the risk of hospitalization from flu by 35 per cent across five Southern Hemisphere countries Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
