Vedanta reports rise in production of aluminium, zinc, iron ore in Q2

Mining company Vedanta Ltd. saw increased aluminium, zinc, and iron ore production in the September quarter. However, steel, overseas mined metals, and oil and gas output declined. Aluminium production rose by 3 percent to 609,000 tonnes. Oil and gas output fell 22 percent to 104,900 boepd. Steel production decreased due to a planned shutdown for maintenance.
