Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying tribute to industrialist Ratan Tata on his demise. The leading industrialist breathed his last on October 9 at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, where he was admitted for a routine health checkup. Appreciating Tata's contribution to bridging India-Israel ties, Netanyahu said: "I and many in Israel mourn the loss of Ratan Naval Tata, a proud son of India and a champion of the friendship between our two countries." He asked Modi to convey his condolences to the Tata family. Netanyahu was among several global and business leaders in paying tribute to Tata who is well known for his philanthropic work and expanding the Tata Group to over 100 countries.
