India now wants to upgrade US pact on critical minerals

FTA status would help EVs get benefits in the US market, provide a boost to Make in India. India proposed converting the critical minerals MoU with the US into a partnership agreement to pave the way for a free trade agreement. This upgrade would allow India to benefit from US EV tax credits, attracting substantial foreign investment.
