53% DA-DR Hike: 8 Must-Know Points for Central Government Pensioners

The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare has increased the Dearness Relief for Central Government Pensioners/Family Pensioners from 50 per cent to 53 per cent of the basic pension, effective July 1, 2024. Applicable to various categories of pensioners, this hike follows the recent 3 per cent increase in Dearness Allowance and Relief for government employees and retirees.
