Airtel prepays spectrum dues worth ₹8,465 cr

Bharti Airtel prepaid ₹8,465 crore to the DoT for spectrum bought in 2016. The move aims to reduce interest costs and free up cash for expanding 4G and 5G services. The company had total dues of ₹14,244 crore, deferred as part of a 2021 relief package. The prepayment will save on interest costs annually.
