US Probes Intel Leak As Israel “Moves Military Assets, Preps Drones” For Retaliatory Attack On Iran

The US is probing a leak of highly classified US intelligence about Israel’s plans for retaliation against Iran. The documents, dated October 15 and 16, began circulating online on October 18 after being posted on a Telegram account.The documents are marked top secret and have markings indicating they are meant to be seen only by the US and its “Five Eyes” allies. The “Five Eyes” security alliance consists of the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.One US official termed the leak of the intel documents “deeply concerning,” according to a CNN report. A US official told CNN that the probe is examining who had access to the alleged Pentagon documents.Any such leak would automatically trigger an investigation by the FBI alongside the Pentagon and other US intelligence agencies. In a statement, the Pentagon told the Associated Press it was aware of the reports of the documents but did not have further comment.
