Chicago Concert Attendees May Have Been Exposed To Potentially Rabid Bat Bites, Say Health Officials

Chicago’s Department of Public Health has issued a stern warning that attendees of a recent outdoor concert at the popular Salt Shed music venue may have been exposed to rabies-carrying bats – through either bites or scratches. According to the officials, the fatal virus is a zoonotic, viral disease that affects the central nervous system.
