Delhi to get 1.6k tonne onions via rail

The central government will bring 1,600 tonnes of onions from Nasik to Delhi by train this week. This is to reduce onion prices in wholesale markets. The onions will be auctioned in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Noida and nearby cities. Currently, onions are being sold at Rs 35 per kg through mobile vans in NCR.
