Japan, UK and Italy agree to accelerate joint next-generation fighter jet project to replace F-2s

The defense ministers of Japan, the U.K., and Italy have agreed to expedite the development of a next-generation fighter jet, forming the GCAP International Government Organization to oversee the process. This joint effort, involving several private sector companies, aims to counter threats from China, Russia, and North Korea and enhance Japan's defense industry.
