Homebuyers urge govt for real estate guidelines under Consumer Protection Act

FPCE has urged the Ministry of Consumer Affairs to issue real estate-specific guidelines under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. This aims to safeguard homebuyers from unfair practices by developers, such as project delays and misleading advertisements. They want clearer contracts, exit clauses, timely refunds, and assurance that developers clear all dues before property handover.
