At that time, he was transitioning from being an acclaimed indie film actor, known for films like Masaan and Raman Raghav 2.0, to more mainstream projects such as Raazi, Lust Stories, and Sanju. When Katrina saw Vicky, she was struck by his talent, even in the short trailer. She recalled producer Aanand L Rai showing her a promo of 'Manmarziyaan', and she was amazed, asking who he was. At that moment, she found him effortless and raw, recognizing his talent. During her appearance on Koffee with Karan last year, Katrina confessed that Vicky was never on her radar. She admitted that she did not know much about him and had only heard his name without any association. However, upon meeting him, she was won over. The actor was promoting her film ' Bhoot Police ' on the chat show alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. The 'Tiger' actress shared that the first person she confided in about her feelings for Vicky was Zoya Akhtar, at whose party they first met and formed a connection. Describing her relationship as 'unexpected and out of the blue,' she expressed that it felt like destiny and was truly meant to be. She noted that there were so many coincidences that, at one point, it all felt unreal. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, ' Bad Newz '. It also stars Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk in lead roles. The film is set to release in theatres on July 19, 2024.
