Woman, daughter bricked into wall in Pakistan over property dispute, rescued

Listen to Story A woman and her teenage daughter were allegedly bricked into a wall by their relatives in Pakistan's Hyderabad following a property dispute. The police later broke the wall with the help of locals and rescued the mother-daughter duo. According to Pakistan's ARY News, the incident happened in the Latifabad No. 5 area of Hyderabad where the woman's brother-in-law, Suhail, and his sons had locked the mother-daughter duo inside a room and built a wall to seal them inside, after a property dispute. Later, the locals informed the police about the incident. Subsequently, the wall was demolished to rescue the two. The woman accused her brother-in-law of harassment and claimed that he forcefully took into custody critical documents related to their home, the report suggested. Speaking about the incident, Hyderabad's Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Farrukh Linjar told ARY News that an investigation into the case has been launched and will be arrested at the earliest.
