Vyjayanthi Movies’ one of the most expensive Indian films ever made with a budget estimated at $72 million (Rs 600 crore), earned $43 million (Rs 350 crore) worldwide in its three-day weekend, including $5.4 million (Rs 45 crore) in North America. The film was released on Thursday, June 27, across 42 territories, and its total worldwide gross has reached $66 million (Rs 515 crore), including previews and $10 million (Rs 83 crore) from North America, where it debuted in fifth place. Kalki 2898 AD Roars in The International Market had an impressive debut at the overseas box office, raking in $17 million over its four-day extended weekend. The film grossed a total of $17.15 million (Rs. 143.50 crore) internationally. Combined with its Rs. 369 crore earnings in India, the worldwide gross stands at Rs. 515 crore, according to sacnilk.com. This makes the third biggest opening overseas for a Telugu film, just behind ($23 million in 3 days) and ($16.30 million in 3 days). Impressively, it managed to surpass the total earnings of Salaar, previously the fourth-highest grosser for Telugu films overseas, in just four days. Meanwhile, Disney’s has collected $165 million worldwide (approximately Rs 2000 crores), including $57.4 million in North America, in its third weekend of release. The film has now crossed the $1 billion gross mark, according to Comscore. Paramount’s debuted with $98.5 million (Rs 900 crore), including $53 million in North America, across 60 territories.
